Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about domestic helper hiring, legal regulations, salary guides, and replacement warranties in Malaysia.
Is your maid hiring agency licensed in Malaysia?
Yes. Agensi Pekerjaan Nasav Global Sdn Bhd is a licensed and legally registered maid hiring agency in Malaysia, operating under the Private Employment Agencies Act 1981, strictly compliant with regulations set by the Ministry of Human Resources (JTKSM), SSM, and the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
How long does the overall process take to hire a maid?
The complete hiring process generally takes 8–12 weeks. This accounts for: candidate selection and video interview, home country passport & medical screening (2–4 weeks), Malaysian Immigration Calling Visa VDR approval (2–4 weeks), embassy endorsement, airfare booking, and arrival reception at KLIA.
How long does it take for the maid to complete her passport and medical check in her home country?
In Indonesia or the Philippines, the domestic helper passport processing typically takes 2–4 weeks, while preliminary health and blood screenings take 3–7 working days depending on clinic availability and clearance results.
What if the maid cannot pass her medical check in her country of origin?
If the candidate fails her origin-country health screening, she will not be permitted to travel or work overseas. The employer is immediately informed and offered a suitable replacement candidate at no extra recruitment cost or a refund according to our agency agreement terms.
What procedures will the maid undergo upon arrival in Malaysia?
Upon landing at KLIA, our team personally receives the worker. Within 30 days, she completes:
1. Mandatory FOMEMA medical examination (chest X-ray, blood test, urine test)
2. Work permit (PLKS) biometric endorsement with Malaysian Immigration
3. Foreign Worker SOCSO & Insurance activation
4. Cultural and household expectations briefing
How soon can the maid start work at my home?
The maid can usually commence work within 7–14 days of arriving in Malaysia, following preliminary health clearance and permit endorsement.
When should I start paying the maid's salary?
Salary payments begin strictly from the maid's official start date of duty at your home, after she has been legally cleared and handed over into your household care. Salaries must be paid monthly (usually via bank transfer) in compliance with Ministry of Human Resources rules.
